Microsoft is now allowing it's TFS users to host in the cloud, using Visual Studio Online. This new approach has gathered a great deal of support recently and has many benefits it brings to your development. TDS 5.0 will support the expanding into Visual Studio Online, the user just needs to set it up a little differently.
Mike Edwards just wrote a post entitled Working with TDS and TFS in the Cloud. The post gives you a step by step way to hook your TDS project up with your cloud based TFS. This will allow you to optimize your Sitecore solution by hooking it up to a cloud based source control.
